ABOUT THE CURRY MISTRESS 

Cooked with a lot of love & soul, our food focuses on Indian home style cooking using the freshest ingredients with a weekly revolving menu. 

Our curries are slow-cooked, simmered in their own juices till the spices are slowly infused, resulting in rich deep flavours. 

Inspired by my family recipes – as well as my own adaptations – our food resonates with pukka desi flavours. This is authentic Indian cuisine with a lot of umami. Every mouthful will keep you wanting more, naughty indulgent food eaten with zero guilt.

We launched THE CURRY MISTRESS over a year ago with a pop-up Residency at Bar Nothing, Margate. What started off as a secret club is no longer a secret. Word has grown organically and we are now one of the go to destinations for curry lovers – people who are looking for delicious authentic Indian cuisine.

We hope you will enjoy this delicious journey with us where we trawl you through our travels in India and share our culinary skills on regional Indian cuisine. 

ABOUT OUR FOOD & RECIPES

FAMILY RECIPES 

From an early age my mom introduced me to the art of cooking and inspired my life long passion for food. I was her little right hand in command, helping her out in the kitchen and soaking up all her secret recipes – some of which I have lovingly adapted to create signature dishes that have now become firm favourites. 

HOME-STYLE COOKING 

Our concept is entirely based on home-style cooking where we slow cook our curries in its own juices, simmering for hours till the spices are slowly infused resulting in rich deep  flavours. 

MENU 

Our offering includes the classics alongside many dishes you may not find in your local Indian Restaurant. The menu includes vegetarian and vegan options alongside meat, poultry and seafood dishes. 

REVOLVING MENU 

We have a weekly revolving menu to keep things exciting and add newness. We also cook in small batches in limited quantities to retain the true flavours.  

SEASONAL PRODUCE & FRESH INGREDIENTS 

We use fresh ingredients and  incorporate seasonal produce and try to source locally where possible.  

NAUGHTY INDULGENT FOOD 

Our food is naughty and indulgent and eaten with zero guilt. We cook with the best ingredients and aromatic spices and fresh herbs. We use ghee in some of the dishes which adds extra richness and warm flavours for the ultimate divine Indian experience.
