Every Saturday evening from 5pm to accompany our Terraza sunset dj sessions starting on Saturday 7 June, we welcome The Curry Mistress to our kitchen!

Chefs Mawi Keivom & Samuel Bonnet launched over a year ago with a pop-up at Bar Nothing, Margate.

What started off as a hidden club is no longer a secret. Word has grown organically and they are now one of the go-to destinations for Margate curry lovers – people who are looking for delicious authentic Indian cuisine.

Cooked with a lot of love & soul, their food focuses on Indian home style cooking using the freshest ingredients with a weekly revolving menu.

Inspired by Chef Mawi's family recipes – as well as her own adaptations – her food resonates with pukka desi flavours.

This is authentic Indian cuisine with a lot of umami. Every mouthful will keep you wanting more, naughty indulgent food eaten with zero guilt!

ABOUT THEIR FOOD & RECIPES (in their own words)

“From an early age my mom introduced me to the art of cooking and inspired my life long passion for food. I was her little right hand in command, helping her out in the kitchen and soaking up all her secret recipes – some of which I have lovingly adapted to create signature dishes that have now become firm favourites.

Our concept is entirely based on home-style cooking where we slow cook our curries, simmering for hours till the spices are slowly infused resulting in rich deep  flavours.

Our offering includes the classics alongside many dishes you may not find in your local Indian Restaurant. The menu includes vegetarian and vegan options alongside meat, poultry and seafood dishes”

We cook with the best ingredients and aromatic spices and fresh herbs. We use ghee in some of the dishes which adds extra richness and warm flavours for the ultimate divine Indian experience“.
